Flowers are a beautiful and symbolic way to say goodbye, whether it be to a close family member, friend or colleague. There is a vast, and sometimes confusing choice for funeral flowers, from a simple, pretty posy, to a unique and highly personalised design which reflects a passion or hobby which your loved one enjoyed in life. These can be difficult days. Working with you, I will help you to select meaningful flowers and designs.
I feel it is a great privilege to create a farewell, final gift, and I put my heart into all my sympathy work. Every one of my funeral pieces is designed and crafted with care and individuality. Using only the very best fresh materials, my work is natural and delicate, incorporating many of nature’s vast array of treasures.
I also specialise in woodland burial designs which are 100% biodegradable, with bases made from bark, branches, vines and moss.
I am very happy to visit you in the comfort of your own home, day or evening, where we can look through examples, and discuss ideas, card messages and so on. Alternatively you can visit me in my studio, chat over the phone or via email.
Would you feel it helpful to place a final few stems into the tribute yourself? If this is something which would be meaningful for you, then I can arrange for you to visit me on the day before the funeral, and over a cup of tea, I can guide you to place the last flowers. Maybe your loved one was a keen gardener, or had a particular plant they cherished and it would be very personal for it to be included in their tribute.
The pricing of sympathy work varies enormously, so please contact me for guidance on pricing. All sympathy work is delivered free of charge to local undertakers. Please note that this is subject to a minimum spend of £25.
Grave Delivery Service
Would you like to lay flowers on a loved one’s grave, but live too far away, or are unable to travel?
Perhaps it is a special date, Birthday, Anniversary, Mother’s Day, for instance, and you would like to mark the occasion with flowers. I will make a beautiful tribute to your requirements and personally lay in on the grave. I will then photograph the tribute and email it back to you in situ.
This service is available at cemeteries and crematoriums within my delivery radius and where graves are clearly decipherable and with clear instructions as to their location.
Costs for this service (not including the cost of the tribute) are as per our delivery charges, plus an additional £3 for locating the grave, photographing and emailing the photo.
