Heaven Flowers is built around three strands of work: weddings & events, funerals & sympathy flowers, and gift bouquets & bespoke arrangements. Each follows roughly the same process — a conversation about what you want, a quote based on flowers in season, and then we make it.

Weddings & events

Wedding work makes up most of the studio's calendar through spring and summer. Most couples book 6–12 months ahead; we limit ourselves to one wedding per weekend so each gets full attention from design through to setup on the day.

What's typically included in a wedding package

• Bridal bouquet — designed in consultation, with flower preferences, palette, and shape worked out together
• Bridesmaids' bouquets and buttonholes — co-ordinating with the bridal piece but allowing for size and palette variation
• Ceremony flowers — pew-end arrangements, altar urns, archway florals, or aisle markers depending on the venue
• Reception florals — top-table arrangement, guest-table centrepieces (we usually design in sets of 5–10 matching pieces with subtle variation), candle-and-foliage runners
• Venue dressing — chair florals, cake-table flowers, photo-corner arrangements
• On-the-day delivery and setup — Claire personally delivers and sets the venue, including any take-down on the same day if requested

Wedding consultation process

The free initial consultation usually takes 60–90 minutes. We meet at the Hitchin studio or at the venue if it's close by. We talk through:

• The overall feel — wild and romantic, classical and structured, modern and architectural, seasonal and locally-sourced
• Specific flower preferences and "definitely-not" flowers (allergies, dislikes, or personal-history flowers that feel wrong)
• Colour palette, including how it relates to bridesmaids' dresses, the venue's existing décor, and time of year
• Logistics, when the bouquet needs to be in the bridal suite, when the venue needs setting, when take-down happens, who's doing transport
• Budget reality. We'll be honest about what's realistic at different price points and what compromises are sensible

Wedding pricing — a rough guide

We quote on specifics. As a rough guide:

• Small intimate weddings (10–30 guests): £400–£900 total flower budget
• Medium weddings (40–80 guests): £900–£1,900 total flower budget
• Larger weddings (80–150+ guests): £1,800–£4,000+ total flower budget

Time of year affects pricing meaningfully — peonies in May cost a fraction of what they cost in February. We'll always suggest seasonal alternatives where they'd save you money without compromising the look.

Funerals & sympathy flowers

This is the part of the studio we treat with the most care. Sympathy work usually comes at short notice; we'll prioritise these orders within our weekly schedule and confirm timing on the same day you contact us.

Tributes and arrangements we make

• Coffin sprays — single or double-ended, in seasonal palettes
• Lettered tributes — "MUM", "DAD", "GRANDDAD" or other names in floral letterwork
• Open and closed wreaths — circular tributes for the service or graveside
• Posies and small arrangements, for placement on the coffin or hand-held tributes for mourners
• Sympathy bouquets — sent to the bereaved family directly, often with a chosen note

Working with us on a funeral order

The best way to reach us for funeral flowers is by phone or email. We'll respond promptly and discuss what you'd like, what we can do in the time available, and the delivery to the funeral director or family address. We don't ask for full payment upfront for sympathy work; we'll send an invoice afterwards.

Gift bouquets & bespoke arrangements

Outside of wedding and sympathy work, we make bouquets and arrangements for personal occasions — birthdays, anniversaries, new-baby gifts, hostess flowers, business hospitality, and "just because" deliveries.

Bouquet sizing

• Posie (£35–£45) — small, fits in a vase 15–20cm wide. Good for a hostess gift or small thank-you.
• Standard hand-tied bouquet (£55–£75). Our most-ordered size. Substantial, makes a clear gesture, fits in most large vases.
• Statement bouquet (£85–£140) — a more dramatic piece for birthdays, anniversaries, or significant gestures.
• Vase arrangement (£65–£160) — pre-arranged in a chosen vase, ready to display. Popular for desk deliveries or businesses without a vase on hand.

Delivery

We deliver locally — Hitchin, Stotfold, Letchworth, Baldock, Stevenage, and the surrounding Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire towns. Delivery charges depend on distance; usually £5–£15 within the local area. We don't ship flowers nationally. The quality drop from courier transit isn't acceptable to us. Local deliveries go same-day if ordered by 11am.
